Here comes Santa Claus....

Well we went for our First visit with Santa, and came to find out that Bailey does not like Santa!! We went on Friday for some pictures, and got some really cute ones of Bailey in a chair with Santa behind her. When Santa came to sit on the chair, and have Bailey in his lap she cried and cried and cried!! So, our first Professional pictures of Bailey with Santa will be with Santa behind Bailey..we should get those back in a week or so. Today we had Santa and Mrs. Claus visit our neighborhood...we tried again, and had the same

result...cry cry cry!! Ron and I had to visit Santa with Bailey to prevent her from crying. I have posted some cute pictures...check out the new earrings!!

Bailey got her ears Pierced!

Well its been awhile since I wrote last, and boy have a lot of things happened. We celebrated Bailey's 1st Thanksgiving this year, and although she will probably not remember it at all I think she had a good time. She really likes white rice, and liked gravy, but that was about it when it came to table food...she still really prefers her baby food! Bailey got to play all day with all of us, her cousins, and her Grandparents dog, Lily..she seems to really like Lily! After dinner Bailey and I took a long nap together..it was just what the doctor ordered!

We also got to play with our friend Grant just before Thanksgiving! Grant is 6 months older than Bailey so he could show her a lot of new tricks! They had a lot of fun, and We had a lot of fun visiting with Grant's Mommy and Daddy!

Our biggest change in the last month is that Bailey got her ears pierced! She did great, and only cried for a minute or two. I really struggled with this decision, but thought that if I did it now that she probably would not remember it at all..I thought that might be best as I remember when I got mine done, and it was a traumatizing experience! She has small gold studs, and they look so cute. I have yet to snap a picture of them, but will post one as soon as I do!

As far as her mobility..no walking yet!! She is cruising all over the place, and will move one foot forward, and then down she goes! She has not worked up enough courage to take off and go...but I am sure it will be any day now! She is babbling like crazy! She is making a lot of identifying sounds, and although they might not make sense to us..she sure knows what she is saying. We know for sure that she says mama and dada. We are pretty sure she can say ball or at least a very early form of it, and "woof" when she looks at a dog. She babbles all the time...soo cute!

Bailey also got to meet her Uncle Randy for the first time! It was great to see my brother, and so cool for him to meet his niece!

Also--if you notice Bailey has a big bruise on her face in some of these pictures...this is her first real injury! She fell and hit the side of her face on the running board of our bed! I have never been so scared, and have never heard a cry like that before.... I know that babies will all get hurt eventually..I just hope it doesn't happen again to her for a very long time!

Next time I write will be for her 1st Birthday..my how this year has flown!

Halloween

Last night was Bailey's 1st Halloween. We started off the evening with some really sweet pictures of Bailey outside with the pumpkins. She had on her "special" Halloween dress, and we were able to get some really amazing pictures. She loved holding onto, and playing with the pumpkins...everything was so interesting to her.

Later in the evening, we had some friends over for pizza to start the festivities. After dinner the 11 of us, 5 kids, and 6 adults, went Trick or Treating.

We had a great time walking around, looking at the houses, the cute costumes, and collecting candy. Bailey dressed as a flower, and was very warm in her costume. She was a charmer, and stayed out for 1.5 hours!! Needless to say...when we got home she was ready for bed!
On another note...Bailey has really started to enjoy her door jumper. I have attached a video of that..she cracks us up!!

A New Milestone

Well, Bailey reached a new milestone toady..she waved!! Most of you know that Bailey comes to work with me, and she loves her "work family". Today I was helping an applicant in our front office, and my co worker, Cindy, was holding Bailey. Bailey could see me through the window, and I waved at her. She outstretched her arm, and opened and closed her hand several times....she waved! Just to make sure, I did it again, and she waved again!! Then..I held her and Cindy waved, and she waved back at Cindy! Yeah Bailey!! I know that everyday she will do more and more Big Girl things, but I just had to share this first of many!

The Chicago Zoo and Burt's Pumpkin Farm

The 3 of us flew to Chicago on the weekend of October 11 so that Ron could do his 1st Marathon. The trip was great, and the temperatures were warmer in Chicago than in Atlanta. We watched Daddy in his race, and then got to spend some time exploring Chicago. We took Bailey to the Zoo, and realized that we might need to wait until she is just a bit older for her to understand what she was looking at. She did like the Gorillas...they were big and moving around so they were able to catch her attention. Most of the animals were sleeping, but not the Gorillas.

We took Bailey to Burt's Pumpkin Farm on October 18th, and she loved it. She played the big pumpkins like a drum, and had fun exploring. We got some great pictures, and she seemed to have a ball.

She is growing and changing like crazy! She can stand up on her own, and I know will b walking in a blink of an eye. She would rather be standing up and playing more than anything else. She is babbling more than ever! We are having so much fun!

I love to swing on the swingset!

We have had several firsts with Bailey over the last few days. We took her to our neighborhood playground, and put her in the swing for the first time...she loves it! She giggles and talks the whole time she is swinging, and the higher you make her go the better. I have attached some pictures and a video of this! Bailey is also getting around really well. She crawls so fast, and is really pulling up on things well. She likes to be standing as much as possible. She started standing very slowly, but now can pull up instantly. She is even trying to stand on her own...20-30 seconds at a time. After that she falls down! She has also found the dishwasher--she loves to play in it when we are unloading it. She has also found that she loves to crawl under and through things. She crawled under the coffee table the other day, and then got stuck under it..too cute! She is also crawling under and through all of her bigger toys..I have attached some cute pictures of that as well. She is saying her few words more clearly now, and I think that she's got down pat who mama and dada are, and may have even started calling Ron's mom nan nan...it is so funny to hear her talking; such sweet sounds. We are having so much fun with her, and all of her daily changes. We are looking forward to going to Burt's Pumpkin Farm..so maybe the next post will have some great Pumpkin pictures....more later!

9 month check up

We had Bailey's 9 month check up last week, and she is doing great! She weighed in at 18 pound 1 ounce which is in the 40th percentile, and was 28 inches long which is the 60th percentile. yeah, Bailey!

One quick note..she started playing in the tupperware cabinet yesterday..she had so much fun!

I also added a picture of her cruising around the couch! this happened really fast....

Definitely Crawling and Pulling Up

Well Bailey has definitely mastered crawling. She can get just about anywhere in our house. She specially loves to crawl under the end tables to get the cords..she is keeping us on our toes. I don't think that she will stay on her knees for long though. She likes for us to walk her around the house, and she tries to pull herself up on everything! She really like to pull herself up on her toy basket, and play while she is kneeling...it is so cute!

Recently my Aunt Peg came down to visit, so we got lots of fun "play" time with Aunt Peg, and also PopPop. aunt peg could not believe how big she had gotten, and how vocal and mobile she has become. PopPop loved seeing his grand daughter, and ate up his time with her as well.

Bailey had definitely mastered "dadada", and had added "ma" "mama" and continues to say "bababa".

We recently gave her some "biter biscuits" and as evidenced by the pictures she loved them, and made a HUGE mess! Straight to the bathtub we went. By the way--bath time sure has changed. Bailey likes to sit way up, and now tries to pull herself out of her little bath tub, and stand while holding onto the edges or the faucet.

Bailey attended her friend Pierce's 3rd birthday party last weekend. He had a super cute Pirate themed party--Bailey was too cute in her Pirate Hat!

Lastly..Ron and I celebrated our 6th Anniversary on Sept. 7--I have included a picture of us too!

More to come later!

Crawling....almost.....

Bailey has almost reached the point of crawling. She gets up on all fours..rocks back and forth, and then falls on her belly. She can "army" crawl really well. I have attached a quick video of her "crawling"...it is so funny! She is also getting around really well in her walker..I attached a new video of her "walking" as well. She is growing fast, and really likes to talk. We think that she has said "mamama" and "dadada" but don't think that she really knows what she is saying. She makes all kinds of noises, and loves to chat with her toys. I know we are going to be in so much trouble when she figures out words..she will definitely be a chatter box. She is still enjoying all of her new foods..we have a lot of fun with her at meal time. She can also feed herself puffs really well now. I have attached another picture of her teeth..you can really see them well now! The other night I emptied a box of Pampers, and Bailey had so much fun with the box...funny the things that they like the most!

Pony Rides and Petting Zoo

This past weekend we went to our friend, Gracie's 4th birthday party. She had pony rides, and a petting zoo. Bailey had so much fin looking at the animals. She got to sit on a pony, and see goats, chickens, bunnies, and sheep. We got some great pictures of her fun! Gracie's little brother, Andrew, seems to really like Bailey. They are so cute together..they hug and love on each other. I have attached a picture of Bailey and Andrew as well.

Bailey is changing more and more every day. She is really starting to make sounds rather than just noises now. Ron and I are pretty sure that she has said "mamamamama" and "dadadada", and we know she says "bababa" which is really funny because we don't feed her with a bottle! She is such a sweet little girl...we count our blessings every day!
